Frequently asked questions
How do I sign in and where is my data stored?
Anzhan does not operate its own account system. All data stays on your device by default. If you choose to sign in, authentication and match-making go through Apple Game Center.
- Without sign-in: single-player, AI, and LAN modes are fully usable.
- After signing in: global matchmaking, leaderboards, achievements, and the online rating are enabled.
- On-device data is removed when you uninstall the app.
A LAN match cannot find nearby rooms — what should I check?
- Confirm all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and the router does not isolate clients (AP isolation / guest mode).
- Make sure Local Network permission is granted to Anzhan:
Settings → Privacy → Local Network → Anzhan. - Bluetooth and Wi-Fi should remain on (Anzhan uses Bonjour over the local network).
- If a corporate or school network blocks multicast, switch to a home network or mobile hotspot.
Game Center matchmaking fails or gets stuck — how do I fix it?
- Check Apple System Status → Game Center for any active outage.
- Sign out and back in:
Settings → Game Center → Sign Out. - Check your network can reach Apple's servers; some restrictive firewalls block Game Center.
- If the issue persists, restart the device and reopen the app.
How do I report a bug or send feedback?
Send email to SoRichOne@icloud.com. To help us reproduce the issue, please include:
- Device model and iOS / iPadOS version
- Anzhan version (Settings → About)
- Steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior
- Screenshots or short screen recordings if applicable
Can I transfer my progress to a new device?
Anzhan uses Apple's Game Center for online rating and achievements, so signing in on the new device with the same Apple ID restores your online progress.
On-device data (settings, match history, custom board assets) lives in the app sandbox and is not migrated automatically. Re-import custom assets on the new device.
The app crashes or freezes — what should I do?
- Update Anzhan to the latest version from the App Store.
- Update iOS / iPadOS to the latest stable release.
- Restart the device.
- If it persists, send the steps to reproduce to the developer (see Q4).
How do I delete my account or data?
Anzhan does not operate its own account system, so there is no developer-side account to delete.
- Local data: uninstall Anzhan to remove all on-device settings, match history, and custom board assets.
- Game Center data: manage leaderboard scores, achievements, and the player identifier through
Settings → Game Centeror Apple's account processes.
